Role Description

At IKEA Älmhult AB, we meet our guests in all our different operations, such as: in the Kitchen at IKEA Museum, IKEA Hotel's restaurant Grillen, MUMS, and the Activity House. We are now looking for someone who is passionate about meeting guests and creating a genuine and pleasant experience during breakfast, lunch rush, and evening service. With your commitment and approach, you can make a difference in meeting guests' expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving orders during lunch, evening, and weekends
  • Taking orders at the cash register, table service, and presenting dishes and drinks
  • Preparing the restaurant or café both indoors and outdoors for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
  • Serving drinks
  • Receiving payments

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who loves service and meeting guests or customers! You may have previous experience working in the restaurant and/or service industry. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with many people and high energy. You have the ability to take initiative to get things done and can see what needs to be done. You also have a curiosity to constantly learn new things and want to continuously find solutions and can handle the problems that arise in everyday life. And of course, you share our passion for IKEA's history, culture, and values!

Specific requirements:

  • You have a passion for food and a fantastic guest experience.
  • Working in a team where you help each other create the best experience for the guest is something you are passionate about.
  • You are fluent in Swedish and English in both spoken and written forms. Additional language skills are a plus.
  • You are accustomed to handling computers and various types of IT applications.
  • You must be over 18 years old and hold a Swedish work permit.

Additional Information

We are now offering several part-time positions (around 80%, but contract hours may vary) on a temporary basis during the summer from June to August 31. Training can begin at lower contract hours during evenings and weekends in May and June. Our schedules follow the opening hours of our operations. Working hours are primarily scheduled during lunch and evening times as well as weekends. Our opening hours range from 05:30 to 23:30. All our operations are located in Älmhult.

When you apply for this position, you will be asked a number of questions to answer before submitting your application. The questions aim to give us a deeper understanding of your availability and your ability to work in Sweden. We would like to receive your application by February 28. Our recruitment process includes a group interview on-site here in Älmhult during the evening in March on the following dates: March 10, 17, and 19. The group interviews will be conducted in Swedish.
